The Soldier’s Tale combines live music and theater to tell the story of a soldier who trades his violin to the Devil in exchange for the promise of unimaginable wealth. Through Stravinsky’s colorful, rhythmically charged score, the work explores temptation, ambition, and the consequences of getting everything we think we want. Written more than a century ago, its wit, energy, and insight remain remarkably relevant.
